Jody Porter – I had that dream again

I had that dream again

the one where all the trees are underwater
and all the rich are in the hills
and are alive.

How wondrous they
our goldsmiths of policy
in the very crux of nature’s embrittlement.

Thank god for our death-cult of ruination
us lowlanders will need it
soon enough.
